Starting from October 1st, Anita Huss-Ekerhult will take on the role of CEO of IFRRO

Anita Huss-Ekerhult has recently been employed as a Counselor in the Copyright Management Division of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). With a law background and over 20 years of experience, she has spent over 15 years in copyright and related rights management. Before joining WIPO, Ms. Huss-Ekerhult held the position of IFRRO Deputy Secretary General and General Counsel from 2008 to 2015.

Ms. Huss-Ekerhult has taken on a new role after Caroline Morgan's passing. Caroline was a dear friend and colleague who fought bravely against cancer. She made immense contributions to our community as a steady and invaluable leader, and we will always remember her fondly. Tracey Armstrong, President of IFRRO's Board of Directors, expressed this sentiment.

Ms. Armstrong expressed gratitude for Anita's return to IFRRO as CEO and Secretary General. This is a crucial time for copyright, as AI adoption is rapidly expanding across industries, with copyrighted content used to train AI systems that require appropriate licensing mechanisms. As she leads the organization into the digital future, Anita will have the full support of the IFRRO Board, members, and staff.
